He has led the design and implementation of more than 50 bridge and highway projects, including major programs such as VDOT’s I-66 Express Lanes. His expertise spans prestressed and steel bridge structures, finite element modeling, maintenance and rehabilitation, and complex geometry projects. In his leadership role, he manages multidisciplinary teams, oversees large-scale infrastructure delivery, and provides guidance on innovative solutions for state DOTs, rail, and public transportation agencies. At George Mason University, Soroush teaches Prestressed Concrete Design and has previously taught Structural Analysis. A two-time Mason graduate (BS and MS in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering), he brings both industry experience and academic depth into the classroom. His teaching emphasizes real-world application of AASHTO, AISC, PCI and ACI design provisions, advanced analysis techniques, and practical problem-solving approaches. Through this blend of practice and theory, he equips students with the technical and analytical skills necessary to address modern infrastructure challenges.
