Biography

Alireza Mohebbi is a licensed professional bridge engineer with a strong background in structural engineering, concrete materials, and earthquake engineering. He holds professional engineering licenses in Washington, D.C., Virginia and North Carolina, and brings over eight years of experience in the design, analysis, and rehabilitation of bridges. Mohebbi earned both his MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering-Structural and Bridges from the University of Nevada, Reno. He currently works as a Structural Bridge Solutions Specialist at JACOBS, where he focuses on innovative approaches to bridge design, preservation, and repair for D.C. bridges. His expertise includes the application of advanced materials such as Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) for structural rehabilitation and durability enhancement. In addition to his professional role, Mohebbi has been an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University since 2023, teaching courses in Structural Engineering including Reinforced Concrete Design CEIE 413-513, Prestressed Concrete CEIE 527, and Statics CEIE 210.
