Mohan Venigalla, an associate professor in the Sid and Reva Dewberry Department of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering, has been recently appointed as a faculty fellow at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics in the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation.
At the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Venigalla will lead the research program on shared mobility services. He will explore new trends in data sharing by transportation networking companies such as Uber and Lyft, in addition to micro-mobility service providers such as bike share and scooter share.
This research effort is expected to produce quality data that can be used in the public interest by public sector agencies, academicians, and practitioners.
